We are looking for a Head of Logistics Network (m/w/d) for the Southern Network in Germany (Raum Stuttgart-München), which plays a key role in managing supplier integration (Vendor Flex) in Germany and leads a team of Vendor Flex Process Assistants to the locations of our suppliers throughout the network. In addition, you are responsible for the performance and development of the supplier program in your network and conduct continuous improvement activities in Germany and throughout Europe. They represent Amazon with our suppliers and logistics service providers, regularly visit the sites and manage the interactions with all internal Amazon stakeholders: EHS, HR, Transportation, S&OP, Finance, Retail and many others. The role is primarily a day shift from Monday to Friday, with a certain flexibility depending on the business requirements required. About the team Vendor Flex is an innovative program of Amazon that significantly accelerates the supply chain with our main suppliers while reducing costs and carbon footprint. We implement Amazon filling technology and processes directly in the warehouses of our suppliers to prepare customer orders that are then sent via our transport network with the possibility of delivery the next day. By avoiding deliveries to Amazon filling centers and storage needs, the Vendor Flex program dramatically increases the responsiveness of our suppliers. Each Vendor Flex site works independently and offers a comprehensive overview of all processes in a distribution center, similar to a small warehouse, from the acceptance of goods to the dispatch of orders to inventory management.

Keeping up health and safety standards at all locations and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the organisation. Leadership and coaching of a diverse team of Process Assistants at the suppliers' locations in a very fast-paced environment with high volume, adapting to changing conditions and frequently changing priorities. Building and maintaining a strong professional relationship with suppliers and their potential service providers (3PL). performing audits and process changes using Lean-6Sigma methods (Gemba Walk, Kaizen etc.). Execution of deep analysis of complex problems and subsequent management of Process Improvement Initiatives to eliminate errors and optimize financial indicators. Participation in various international projects, coordination with teams in other countries to continuously improve our services and explore new opportunities. Travelling within Germany to 50% of the working hours for site visits and supplier talks - mainly within the network to be responsible. Workplace flexible in the medium/south German space.
