Number: MER0003N0M Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. In our cross-functional team “Future UX-Concepts & UX-SW-Technologies” we design the vision of our UX Vision for the Mercedes-Benz user experience of the future. With this vision we develop a new, holistic customer experience in our vehicles and beyond. Our customers are at the heart of the Mercedes-Benz Experience. In recent years, intelligent agents have taken a rapid development and have established themselves in various places in our everyday life, such as our smartphone, our smart homes and our vehicles. Through the continuous and rapid technological advances in fields such as sensor technology, signal processing and generic AI, intelligent agents are more and more able to imitate human capabilities such as logical thought processes and argumentation. This growing and growing intelligence enables agents to make contextual decisions or propose to become proactive in interaction or even to carry out autonomous actions. While these skills open up the opportunity to make user experiences more natural, efficient and predictive depending on the user context and the environment situation, the design of the increasingly multimodal interaction between user and agent opens up a variety of open research questions. To accompany us on our way to the future of mobility, we are looking for creative participation in the design/development, prototypical realization and evaluation of future-oriented user experiences in the vehicle as part of a final work for a period of 5-6 months. With the final work, we want to gain further insights in the field of AI agents and multimodal, context-related UX concepts in and on the vehicle. These challenges include: Research on technologies & scientific work on context-related user interfaces with focus on the automotive context Ideas-finding & Conception of context-related interactions between AI Agent and user incl. Presentation as User Journeys / User Stories Development of various approaches for dynamic, contextual adaptation of interactions related to generic AI Prototypic implementation of interaction concepts in one of our digital, multi-modal experience environments Systematic evaluation of the implemented interaction concepts and the associated user experience Scientific documentation of methodology and results
The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.
