The management of climate change adaptation is integrated into the department as a new task and works closely with existing climate protection management. This new task is due to the amendment of the Energy Transition and Climate Protection Act, which obliges all circles to create concepts for climate change adaptation. Since the creation of the concept requires intensive communication with various actors in the Steinburg district and public relations, a communication centre is to be set up to support climate adaptation management.
