The Zeiss Microoptics unit specializes in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optics applications based on micro-optical and holographic-optical elements.

Your role As part of our cross-functional team, you can optimize and support our development projects in laser technology aspects. Your tasks include: commissioning and instant maintenance of laboratory and industrial laser systems

Continuous expansion of the know-how platform in our team, especially for laser technology

Supporting the team in solution-finding with relation to laser technology and in the installation of laser systems with our partners on site

Using the team to create the specifications for new laser systems

Create adjustment and maintenance instructions and support for remote diagnostics

Complete studies in the field of laser technology, optics/photonics or in a comparable course of studies

Relevant professional experience (ideally focused on laser technology) and experience in working in the clean room under yellow light

High affinity for laser technology topics as well as high understanding for complex and technical issues and the willingness to support in the team

Basic programming knowledge in Python, Matlab, C++ or the like.

Flexibility combined with a targeted and pragmatic approach and problem solution orientation

Ideally, you are already a laser protection officer and/or have expertise in OStrV & TROS
