You advise scientists on all aspects of industrial legal protection – from the application of the invention to the management of the extensive patent portfolio of the Forschungszentrum Jülich You analyse inventions in exchange with the scientists:inside and the innovation managers:inside, prepare decisions on inventions and patent applications and implement the decisions taken You coordinate the processing of patent licensing procedures before the patent offices in close cooperation with the patent attorneys in Germany and abroad: You develop protection strategies for a large-scale research facility operating in the international environment and implement them. You maintain legal agreements with inventors:inside and external partners:in order to regulate the legal relationships related to intellectual property rights In addition, you provide support in the preparation of contracts with IP regulations

You have a successfully completed academic degree (Master) in the field of natural sciences or engineering (a doctorate is desirable) and possibly already relevant further education in the field of patents or even completed training to patent attorney and/or European patent Attorney You are used to conceptual and independent work and have a great interest in working in complex topics Ideally, you already have first experience in a patent department or a patent attorney law firm You are characterized by a high communicative and social competence as well as a professional and pragmatic appearance towards internal and external partners Your strong analytical and strategic mindset helps you to keep an overview even in challenging situations and focus on the essentials Work in an interdisciplinary, science-oriented environment at the interface between science, administration, politics and the economy will give you pleasure You have very good English skills, both oral and written (at least B2 level after the GER), ideally proven by a certificate.
