The Klinikum Worms is a municipal hospital of the primary care and academic teaching hospital of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. With 696 beds, twelve main departments and a document division, the clinic takes over an important regional supply order. More than 2,300 employees provide approximately 32,000 stationary and more than 40,000 outpatient patients each year. The clinic is one of the five largest hospitals in Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Medical Clinic I for Cardiology and Angiology covers the range of services of general, conservative and interventional cardiology. The clinic currently has 120 beds. In the two state-of-the-art heart catheter laboratories, more than 2,000 procedures are carried out annually. In addition, the clinic offers EPUs, interventional angiology and device implants. The clinic is certified as a Chest Pain Unit and HFU focus clinic as well as as a training facility for additional qualification Special Rhythmology according to DGK. A 24/7 PCI readiness is established. In the course of a regulated succession, we are looking for a senior physician (m/w/d) for cardiology. You are responsible for the care and treatment of stationary and outpatient patients with cardiological diseases. You carry out device implants (CSP, ICD and CRT) as well as complex cardiovascular interventions. With your leadership, you give orientation, create liability and promote a working culture where employees can take responsibility and bring their strengths. You participate in the training and supervision of assistant physicians as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with the associated departments. Participation in the medical background service is obligat.

You are a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. You have experience in interventional cardiology as well as a well-founded background service experience that you have demonstrated in a comparable position. You have broad experience in device implantation. Personally, you are convinced by integrity, empathy, reliability and a sovereign appearance.

Modern interventional equipment – IVUS, FFR, Impella, Rotablation, coronary lithoplasty, orbital atherectomy, interventional therapy of lung arterial embolism. A well-established team with a current staff key of 1-10-20.5 as well as specialists in imaging, angiology, intensive medicine and devices. Over 7,000 stationary and 4,000 outpatient cases provide a wide and varied range of patients.
