Release & Deployment Engineer (m/f/d)

You plan, coordinate and control releases and deployments on customer systems – from appointment and technical preparation to implementation and customer communication. You check and analyze technical transmission reports, perform source and version comparisons and create and maintain installation plans and system documentation. You are responsible for creating, providing and managing software licenses, including LFS, ISS and Cobol-IT, including the associated access and password management. You support our project teams in technical issues relating to releases and deployments, process customer requests via Jira and the mailbox and provide debug tokens, for example. You perform tasks in technical system operation, including the archiving of containers, the transfer of fixed packs and the monitoring and maintenance of relevant system components. You actively contribute to the further development and optimization of our release and deployment processes and help to make processes more efficient and reliable.

You have completed training or studies in the field of computer science, business informatics or a comparable practical qualification. You bring experience in the release and deployment environment, such as Release & Deployment Engineer, Deployment Coordinator, Release Manager or Application Operations. You have practical experience with customer systems and the implementation of systemic activities, such as restarts, job controls or comparable operating tasks. Ideally, you have knowledge of license management as well as first experiences with Cobol or comparable legacy environments. You work structured, independent and responsible and keep track of multiple parallel releases. You are characterized by a pronounced service and quality orientation as well as by communication strength in handling customers, project teams and technical contact persons.
