Your responsibilities The software developer takes on independent development tasks in complex systems and actively contributes to the development of software architecture, code quality and technical decision-making processes. The role is the bridge between operational development and increasing technical responsibility. Mid-level developers work independently, introduce suggestions and support junior colleagues in learning. You are responsible for submodules or feature areas and ensure wartability, scalability, performance and stability. You are actively working on the further development of existing technical solutions and bringing your assessments on architecture and design decisions at module level – in close coordination with senior developers and the architecture team. You keep existing coding standards, introduce improvements and run code reviews for junior and peer developers to ensure high code quality. You support junior developers through pair programming, reviews and professional exchange and develop a solid test and clean code culture together with the team. You analyse technical errors independently, perform debugging and cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions together with the team. You actively contribute to Refinement, Sprint Planning and Estimation and work constructively with Product Owner and Scrum Master to realistically assess technical feasibility and effort. You use modern development tools – including AI-assisted coding and analysis tools – to support your daily work and reflect their use in the team context responsibly. Optionally, you work with frontend components or teams in case of need and bring a basic understanding of frontend technologies and UX aspects. Your profile You bring at least 3 years of experience in software development of complex, distributed systems. You have demonstrable experience in the independent care of system components and delivers stable, high-quality solutions. You have profound knowledge of Java, Jakarta EE and Spring Boot. You have experience in the design and operation of Microservices architectures as well as knowledge in MicroProfile and modular service batteries. You work safely with SQL databases and have a good understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM). You have experience with CI/CD pipelines, work safely in Linux environments and know you with Docker and Kubernetes. You bring practice in infrastructure automation, e.g. with terraform and helmet, and value automation, scalability and stability. Ideally, you have a basic understanding of UX/UI principles as well as experience with frameworks such as Vaadin, Angular, React or Vue.js. You can communicate safely in German (C1) and use English routined for documentation and collaboration.
