The aim of the professorship is to further strengthen the close interconnection of sensor technology, electronics, signal processing, transmission technology and mechatronic system integration in teaching and research and to develop interdisciplinary cooperation, in particular with automation technology, energy technology, information technology and adjacent engineering disciplines. We are looking for a scientifically proven, committed personality that represents the subject of integrated sensor systems in teaching and applied research. You have completed university studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, information technology or a comparable engineering/nature science degree course. Just like the special ability to scientific work, proven by a qualified doctorate. You can demonstrate your outstanding expertise through relevant scientific publications and an independent scientific profile. You have at least five years of professional practice in the development and application of integrated sensor systems, preferably after graduation, of which three years are outside the higher education sector. You were active in an industrial environment and related to mechatronic applications (e.g. automation technology, condition monitoring, process sensor technology, robotics, vehicle technology or similar systems) or related fields of application of measurement technology or embedded systems. The place is to be occupied from 01.09.2027 at the Kaiserslautern study site of the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Engineering.
