In our psychiatric hospital, around 17,000 patients are treated in seven independent clinics of different disciplines at seven locations each year in a stationary, daily clinical and outpatient manner. With around 1,850 employees, the clinic is one of the largest employers in the Heilbronn-Franken region. The Klinikum am Weissenhof is recognized as an academic teaching hospital at the University of Heidelberg and is involved in the teaching of psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine. The Klinik für Kinder- und Jugend-psychiatrie und Psychotherapie at the Weinsberg site comprises 54 full-station beds at six stations (crisis intervention area, children's station, youth station I and II, youth-specific addiction station, youth station with severe eating disorders) and a child- and youth-psychiatric institute ambulance. In addition, the child- and youth-psychiatric clinic also includes four external sites with a total of 59 day-clinical treatment sites at the Schwäbisch Hall, Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg and Winnenden sites with respectively attached institute ambulances.
