In this role, you will significantly shape the data-driven further development of our spectroscopic systems and applications. Your core tasks include: Design and implementation of sophisticated analyses to support the new and further development of different systems in the spectroscopic context – in close cooperation with stakeholders from different disciplines
Advising the spectroscopy department in the design of agronomic experiments from the laboratory to field testing, with special focus on statistical issues
Development of processes and structures for data collection and model generation in the context of new and existing systems
Creation and comparative evaluation of models based on spectra and images as well as further development or independent implementation of the necessary mathematical analysis and modeling tools
Independent planning and implementation of computer experiments to further develop our content models
Continuous analysis of existing data stocks and optimization of data structures in close coordination with relevant specialist departments and stakeholders
Development of concepts for increasing efficiency and quality assurance in the field of data science
Professional mentoring of Junior and Midlevel Data Scientists
Completed academic studies (min. 4-year training)
Multiannual experience in development and production of machine learning models incl. MLOps, Deployment and Monitoring
Found experience in the analysis and modeling of (hyper) spectral data and technical understanding of spectroscopic systems
Excellent knowledge of Python or comparable tools as well as comprehensive know-how about machine learning/data science workflows and algorithms
Excellent social competence, excellent communication skills and presentation strength in interdisciplinary teams
Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing; Experience in geoinformation or agrarian areas of advantage
