The construction and building management department is looking for a Engineer*in Energy, Climate Protection and Transformation (w/m/d) (100 %, EC 13 TV-H, unlimited) Kennz. 2025-055 HfMDK aims to contribute to the achievement of the Hessian climate protection targets by developing a climate protection concept and implementing climate protection management. The body combines conceptual tasks with the technical planning and implementation of climate protection and energy efficiency measures and is geared towards a long-term anchoring of these issues in the higher education structures. Within the framework of the project “KSI: Creation of an integrated climate protection concept with climate protection management for the HfMDK – First Projects” of the National Climate Initiative, the body is first funded by federal funds by 2028.

Individually responsible development, coordination and development of an integrated climate protection concept including medium and long-term implementation planning Technical advice for university management and preparation of decision-relevant information for bodies and working groups Introduction, implementation and further development of high-level energy management, including CO bilancing, monitoring, key figures and reporting Ensuring efficient, compliant and energy-optimized operation of technical installations Conception, control and implementation of transformation projects of technical building equipment (TGA) to reduce CO emissions and to integrate energy-efficient and renewable technologies Perception of project responsibility over all phases of the project, including coordination of external planning and execution partners and project-related budget responsibility Creation of cost-effectiveness and investment analyses as well as the design and introduction of an intracting system for financing climate protection and energy efficiency measures in cooperation with the Finance and Controlling department Support for the acquisition, settlement and implementation of funding

Complete university studies (Bachelor, Master or Diploma) in the field of energy and building technology, technical building equipment, utility technology, electrical engineering or comparable fields Multiannual professional experience in planning, execution or project management in technical building equipment, energy management or technical building management Practical knowledge in the planning and implementation of energy-efficient building technologies and systems Knowledge of energy controlling, building automation and project management Knowledge of building law and energy law of public procurement and contract law, HOAI and knowledge of time and cost planning An advantage is knowledge or practical experience in the field of refurbishment in the building stock and sustainable construction. Safe handling of the MS Office package Very good German language skills in word and writing Structured, analytical and independent working methods Embossed communication and coordination capability Team skills
