You coordinate the commissioning and the ongoing review of X-ray devices and interference emitters at KIT and ensure that all necessary permits are implemented in due time, requirements are checked and deadlines are complied with in order to guarantee safe and law-compliant operation. You advise the departments in the planning and modification of equipment and coordinate cooperation with internal departments as well as external experts and supervisory authorities. Upon receipt of an approval, check the requirements, monitor their implementation and support with specific reporting requirements. In addition, prepare the order of all radiation protection officers according to § 70 StrlSchG, advise on the acquisition and updating of the specialist according to StrlSchV and RöV and arrange the necessary reliability review. The internal decision areas of the radiation protection officers shall be defined and adapted to change the underlying authorisations. In addition, document and report all relevant processes to the competent authorities.
