As part of the network development, Asset Management is responsible for the strategic planning and further development of the technical plant portfolio. The asset strategy department creates the technical foundations for the long-term development of the Berlin high and medium-voltage network and is responsible for key decisions on target network structure, network capacity and system planning. Load forecasts, target networks, planning principles and modern simulation and data applications form the basis for the future development of the Berlin power grid. You will guide the asset strategy with currently 14 engineers and develop future-oriented employees, methods and organization professionally and disciplinefully. You are responsible for the analysis of load and production development as well as the derivation of the network expansion requirement for the Berlin power grid across all voltage levels. You are responsible for the further development of the simulation, forecasting and data landscape for network planning and, together with experts and IT experts, create the digital foundations for future system and target network planning. You control the target network and system planning of the high-voltage and medium-voltage network and develop the technical foundations for concrete expansion measures such as 110 kV network nodes, 110/10 kV transformers and 110 kV line connections. You are responsible for the further development of the technical planning principles, network connection conditions and basic electrical engineering issues for a secure and sustainable power grid. You continuously develop powerful connection concepts for high-voltage customers and power-intensive medium-voltage customers as well as the network interfaces to the upstream transmission system operator 50Hertz. You represent Stromnetz Berlin in planning talks, technical coordination and strategic development issues to 50Hertz as well as other relevant internal and external stakeholders.

a completed university degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering or a comparable discipline. multiannual professional experience in network planning, system planning, network development or asset management of electricity networks. Experience in leadership of teams or in the successful management of complex multi-disciplinary projects. sound understanding of electrical supply systems and their planning, operation or further development. the ability to strategically classify complex technical relationships and to derive stressable decisions from them. high communication and persuasiveness as well as a valuable and team-oriented leadership culture. strong initiative, willingness to shape and joy in change and digitization processes. But no need: experience with network planning, network calculation or simulation tools Knowledge of data analytics, forecasting, GIS applications or Python Knowledge of energy and regulatory frameworks Experiences with urban distribution networks and their specific challenges
