Senior Project Controller | Plant Engineering | Wuppertal (m/f/d)

Our client is an established medium-sized family company based in Wuppertal. For customers from a wide range of industries worldwide, the company develops and manufactures technically sophisticated equipment on site – individually tailored to the respective requirements.

We are looking for a Senior Project Controller (m/w/d), who not only analyzes numbers, but actively controls projects.

You create transparency about costs, dates, risks, margins and cash flow, identify needs for action at an early stage and help project teams and management achieve the economic goals safely.

You accompany sophisticated plant projects commercially – from the supply phase to the project conclusion – and control budgets, forecasts, project progress and results. You compile target-actual comparisons and deviation analyses and derive therefrom rugged predictions on result, margin and contribution. You assume pre-, post- and offer calculations as well as cost-effectiveness analyses. You evaluate project, cost, time and supplier risks and support the commercial audit of claims, changes and claims. You create meaningful management reports, KPIs and dashboards and continuously develop control and reporting processes. As a commercial business partner, you work closely with the project teams and create a well-founded decision-making basis for management and project management.

Complete commercial studies or a comparable qualification as well as several years of professional experience in project controlling, ideally in plant or mechanical engineering. Extensive understanding of business relationships in the technical project business and experience in the commercial management of complex projects. Funded knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and project and post-calculation. Experience in risk, claim and return management as well as in cost, contribution, earnings and liquidity planning. Very good Excel knowledge as well as experience with ERP systems; Knowledge of BI tools is advantageous. You communicate confidently with different stakeholders and understand themselves as a solution-oriented business partner at eye level.

In this central senior role you take responsibility for the economic management of demanding projects and make a direct contribution to results and project success.

You make opportunities, risks and economic relationships transparent, create orientation in complex project situations and support management as well as project teams with sound analyses and clear recommendations for action. .
