International Management Trainee - METRO Potentials Programme (m/f/d)

This is what awaits you during your 18-month international METRO potential program: Start of the program is 01. September 2026 Market phase: You always wanted to look behind the scenes of the wholesale? Then you have the opportunity to spend the first 6-7 months of the program in our METRO markets, the delivery sites and our customer management and actively participate in our core business. You already have the opportunity to assume first leadership responsibility in which, for example, you lead a department in one of our METRO markets Central phase: To deepen your passion for wholesale, you have the chance to get to know our headquarters in Düsseldorf for the next 6-7 months. To start your trainee program with us, you choose a focus (e.g. Category Management, Operations, Finance, People & Culture). There you will get to know our daily business and develop your analytical skills in cross-departmental teams Foreign phase: In one of our METRO countries, you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills acquired so far in an international environment for 4 months and prepare yourself for your subsequent target position

In addition, you fit perfectly into the METRO Potentials program when: You recently completed your Master's degree in Business/Trade or in a comparable degree course You have less than 3 years of professional experience, for example in the field of gastronomy or commerce, and have the passion and the drive to shape the future of wholesale and leave your personal footprint Ideally, you have already completed relevant internships (e.g. in the category Management, Finance, Operations, People & Culture, etc.) as well as engaged in extracurricular activities. In addition, you could ideally gain experience abroad (e.g. during a semester abroad, stay abroad or the like) You strive to take responsibility and lead a team in the future You bring hand-on mentality and ambition to go the necessary extra mile You have excellent knowledge of English and German (C2)
