• Design, new development and support of frontend/backend solutions in C++ for products and components in the field of marine communication

• Responsibility for designing and creating complex concepts and designs for implementing software architecture

• Writing clean, manageable and efficient code that meets our Coding standards and best practices

• Conducting code reviews and professional support for the test and DevOps teams

• Writing, waiting and performing integration and unit tests in their own sphere of responsibility and thereby developing the code quality

• Debugging and troubleshooting for software problems as well as optimization of software performance and efficiency using tools such as debuggers, profilers and analysis tools

• Collaboration with other teams to integrate software with other systems and components, as well as identifying areas of improvement and introducing your own ideas into an agile development team

• Mutual mentoring and technical exchange in the team

• Complete studies in the field of computer science, electrical and information technology or comparable

• Very good knowledge of C++, including experiences with the current C++ standards (e.g. C++14, C++17) and at best another language such as Python, Java or Rust

• Experience with object-oriented design and programming as well as experience with the version control system Git

• Confidence with software development methods such as Scrum or Kanban

• Experience with debugging tools and techniques as well as knowledge of software design patterns and principles

• Strong problem-solving capability and ability to analyze and optimize code, plus experience with testframeworks and unit tests

• Strong communication and team skills and motivation for continuous professional training

• Experience with distributed systems and middleware such as RabbitMQ, experience with multithreading and synchronization of advantage

• Confidence with the best practices of software security desirable

• Good German and English knowledge of word and writing
