Microsoft Fabric Transformation & Architecture: Designing the modernization of our data architecture; definition of standards and best practices; hands-on development of reference implementations; Design and implementation of the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) Data Engineering & Pipeline Development: Development and maintenance of data pipelines for ingestion and transformation; connection of internal and external data sources including SAP integration and on-premises systems; Performance optimization for storage and Query Execution DevOps, CI/CD & Platform Quality: Implementation of automated deployment pipelines; Git repository structure; Establishing Data Product Thinking (Data Mesh); compliance with name conventions for all fabric assets; Business Continuity Planning & Disaster Recovery Team Development & Cooperation: Coaching and Upskilling of 3 existing BI developers; Knowledge transfer to AI and automation capabilities of Microsoft Fabric; close collaboration with Data Analysts, Data Scientists and BTS Operations/MS Fabric Admin
Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering or Data Platform roles; completed studies in computer science, business informatics or comparable Core Platform & Programming: Microsoft Fabric (required), Azure Data Factory, MS Purview (basic knowledge); SQL, Python/PySpark, T-SQL Data modeling & DevOps: Data Vault, Dimensional Modeling, Medallion Architecture; CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow Methods & domain knowledge: Agile/Scrum, ETL processes, Data Mesh principles, Data Product Design Soft Skills: Coaching Competence, Team Enablement, Strong Communication Strength Language knowledge: very good English and German knowledge in word and writing
