For Reha-Services at Hohenzollerndamm in Berlin we are looking for you as Head*in Product Engineering Reha Services Location: Berlin Date of entry: Immediate Application deadline: 30.07.2026 Tender number: 14-031-2026 Employment: Full time (part time is possible in principle) Remuneration: E15 TV EntgO-DRV Activity The DRV-IT rvSystem principle and cross-section is responsible for the development of the IT core application system of the German Pension Insurance (DRV). Here you will find management, development and cross-sectional teams for the existing core system including online services for our insurers as well as project management and teams for our ongoing agile large project to modernise our applications. In our matrix organization, the “Reha-Services” area as a line organization designates the prerequisites for high-quality and legally compliant digital product and software development of Reha specialist processes. It bundles our Reha experts from product management, specialist domains and software development and develops them further. Operational implementation is in the delivery organisation.

In this role, you are responsible for the disciplinary leadership and the strategic orientation of our digital product and software development for the rehabilitation services: Discipline leadership of the area with about 45 employees Developing competencies, organisational structures and strategic guidelines for high-quality and efficient product and software development Planning, taxes and monitoring of the area Developing the development process and increasing productivity by establishing and applying suitable key figures, processes and methods Design and support the further development of the methodological, process and technical software development competencies of employees and compliance with standards and quality Promoting the motivation, personal development and commitment of employees and active participation in further recruiting staff Strategic Sparring Partner and Adviser in compliance with legal changes in social legislation – without operational delivery responsibility Planning, managing and implementing IT projects and working groups Represent the area and the Reha product strategy in the overarching IT organisation of the DRV, internal and external bodies, as well as national institutions and authorities

You are a strategically thinking and conscientious leader that combines product thinking, professional domain understanding and technological excellence. You understand how digital products are created – professional, organizational and technological. You can also bring: Graduated academic studies (Master or Diploma (University)) preferred administrative, economic, computer science, mathematics, natural or engineering sciences Multiannual, current task-relevant leadership and management experience in digital product organisations or matrix structures Ideal experience in product management and product control Good understanding of modern software development Preferred multiannual experience in rehabilitation procedures Knowledge of social security and administrative law desirable, ideally in rehabilitation law, as well as in data protection and IT security Learn how to combine expertise, product and technology Agiles Mindset, Structured Operation, High Design Will and Engagement High readiness for change and innovation Excellent address-oriented communication skills paired with pronounced customer orientation
