In the third-party funded project HeiHAP, an interprofessional intervention programme is to be developed and evaluated to increase the physical activity and avoid hospital-associated disability in elderly patients in acute care. A participative approach that focuses on implementation from the outset is an essential principle. The project is a cooperation between the Geriatric Center at the University Hospital Heidelberg and the nursing science of the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg and the nursing director of the University Hospital Heidelberg.
