The University of Applied Sciences Landshut is looking for IT-Campus Administrator (w/m/d) (unlimited, full-time)

You are responsible for the operation of the local network and WLAN infrastructure at various university locations and ensure a reliable site-to-site VPN connection to the main site in Landshut. You serve PC and notebook workstations and support the site employees as a competent IT contact person in 1st and 2nd level support. You manage Windows and Linux server systems as well as – in coordination with the Service IT team – central IT services. You implement central requirements for software distribution, user and access rights as well as IT security standards at the site. You contribute to the implementation and continuous development of the IT infrastructure and the overall IT concept. You create and maintain the technical location documentation, such as network plans, system documentation and inventory lists.

Successfully completed training as a specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification in IT. Knowledge in the network and associated system administration. Very good knowledge in the administration of Windows and Linux operating systems as well as in the operation and management of IT systems. Virtualization experience, ideally with VMware and/or Proxmox. Basic knowledge in project management as well as the ability to carry out IT projects in a structured manner. Very good German knowledge (at least level C1) and good knowledge of the English language. Embossed service and customer orientation as well as an independent and structured way of working. High communication and team skills as well as joy in cooperation with different disciplines. Own initiative, sense of responsibility and the willingness to work independently at a decentralised location. For the duration of the installation time, the application or place of service temporarily in Landshut; Driving readiness and flexibility for changing locations are a prerequisite for the activity.
