Category Manager Vehicles with special military equipment (m/f/d)

You continuously analyze demand, market and competition situations within the assigned portfolio of commercial vehicles with special military equipment (shortly called “hümS”), evaluate relevant developments and derive recommendations for action. In close coordination with internal demand providers, you develop existing and future products and services strategically and ensure their economic and qualitative optimization. You develop long-term portfolio and group-specific procurement strategies and implement them successfully taking into account corporate objectives, market requirements and risk assessments. You support procurement procedures through professional market and product knowledge, conduct market information and provide relevant information for sound procurement decisions. You actively control and develop existing supplier relationships, identify potential new suppliers and ensure a powerful and sustainable supplier base within your purchasing portfolio. You define relevant purchasing and performance key figures, analyze results systematically, derive appropriate measures and create sound management decision-making bases taking into account the corporate strategy.

A successfully completed university degree or a comparable qualification will bring you to this position. Multiannual experience in purchasing, ideally in the automotive environment, fleet management or Bundeswehr context, has already successfully gained you. Finded technical and business knowledge in the associated portfolio combine with a pronounced understanding of economic relationships. First points of contact with the award law are desirable, but not absolutely necessary. Analytical thinking, a good understanding of the market and a structured way of working as well as your affinity for complex procurement topics.
