Within the Center for Production Planning & Technology Powertrain we control battery projects of our Mercedes-Benz brand and offer an internship in the team production project management. By controlling input factors, quality and appointments, we ensure efficient project management, monitor the achievement of our project objectives, identify needs for action and initiate solutions. In addition, we ensure the impact of product changes on production processes (battery assembly) and actively influence the product (e.g. through production-oriented product design). Your focus will be within the project control for HV batteries

These challenges include: Working within the project management of a battery project

Support in the management and coordination of cross-departmental topics of planning areas and production (assembly, logistics, quality, start-up factory, factory planning, etc.)

Integration into the reporting and preparation of project bodies, meetings and workshops with the relevant departments - preparation of decision-making templates for project management and higher management (with MS Office)

Accompanying the optimization process and documentation of technical processes for production systems

Further development of the cross-project knowledge base

Identification of fields of action for the further development of project work

Complete and independent processing of work packages and/or test orders from the battery project

The activity can begin from September 2026.

Study programme in the field of mechanical engineering, electric vehicles, vehicle technology, technology management, industrial engineering or a comparable study programme

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing (German level at least C1 with proof)

Secure handling of MS Office, in particular PowerPoint, Excel and Think-Cell - engagement, team skills and communication skills

Structured, independent and reliable operation

Commitment and enthusiasm for innovative topics

First experiences in project management from non-university activities, association or leisure are desirable
