MoBam (Mobile Support Bamberg) has been active as a free and recognised child and youth support institution in the Bamberg area since 1999. In 2015, the stationary area was developed with EDI (development by individualization). EDI operates in the district of Bamberg and, in the meantime, 10 stationary housing groups. There, children between 6 and 18 years of age are supervised, who cannot live with their family for a variety of reasons. The focus is on the child welfare and the individualisation (self-development) of children and young people.

Become part of our team and start with us on October 1, 2025. You will complete your studies at the IU International University virtual campus. Here you will be taught live and interactive about video conferencing and have access to digital learning materials. You are not bound to a campus - so you get the greatest possible flexibility and can learn self-determined.

You support a team of pedagogical and psychological professionals in daily work at the child Together with the children, you shape your free time, supports them in the school area, accompany them to doctor's appointments and are there for them in difficult times as a contact person. You work at organisational level with youth offices, guardians and other important contact persons You take your own tasks in the team and actively contribute to the weekly team meeting

Start your studies at the IU with (special) abitur, a qualified professional degree or as a national. Technicians:in/operator:in You can prove German skills according to language level B2 You enjoy working with children and young people You are empathic and caring You like to introduce your hobbies into your work You like to take responsibility and introduce ideas into the team Career prospects: After completing your studies, you can enter as a pedagogical specialist in the stationary area. In addition, all other areas of the MoBam Family are open to you, e.g. outpatient help. As a company, we have great interest in continuing to employ trained people.
