Number: MER0003VRP Our team is responsible for the development of new Lidar sensors that lay the foundation for tomorrow's automated vehicle. The activity in our heterogeneous and interdisciplinary team is characterised by international cooperation with global partners. The innovative power of the Lidar industry holds an extremely exciting environment of unresolved and yet to be designed questions. As a working student*in, you support the colleagues in the field of Lidar development. You will get a direct insight into current development projects in the field of autonomous driving at Mercedes-Benz and gain immediate experience in the integration of the latest technology in the automotive industry. Your personal knowledge and preferences will be taken into account in the design of your field of activity. These challenges come to you: Technical experts support, for example, in measurements, evaluations, experimental setups and software updates

Participation, preparation and preparation of project-relevant meetings and workshops

Documentation and maintenance of technical documents

Creation, extension and maintenance of Jira tickets

Evaluation and summary of technical data for effective visualizations

Conducting research tasks

Takeover of technical & organisational tasks

Participation in carrying out and evaluating experiments

Tasks are scheduled for 10-15 hours a week

The activity can start from January 2026.

Degree course in engineering (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science) or a comparable degree course

Commitment and team skills

Motivated, self-initiative and communicative

Analytical thinking and independent working

Affinity for the products of Mercedes-Benz AG, driving licence class B

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Python or Matlab knowledge desirable

Safe handling of MS Office
