As part of a succession scheme, we were commissioned to search and arrange a Head of Production Welding (m/w/d) world market leader for an international group of companies. Our client is world leader with around 1,000 employees. For many years, the company has successfully grown its technical innovative strength, highest quality standards and customer proximity and has become a sought-after partner for customers from all industries and production sectors.

Your activity as Head/Master Welding Technology (m/w/d) focuses on increasing the degree of ripening of the steel components in the product development process in order to exploit synergies, to use existing competencies in a targeted manner, thereby reducing the manufacturing costs. In doing so, you will lead a larger team and develop your area of responsibility continuously and strategically.

Operational direction of the welding and steel construction area with focus on optimizing production processes and reducing production costs Ensuring compliance with quality standards and internal specifications Leadership and further development of a team of technical staff Process improvement in welding technology and steel production, including the use of new technologies and materials Ensuring efficient material flow and optimal resource use in steel production

You have completed your studies in the field of mechanical engineering, steel construction, manufacturing technology or similar or a technical training with further training to the welding specialist, welding technician or welding master (m/w/d) Multiannual experience in welding technology / steel construction, ideally in special or individual production Knowledge of welding processes (MIG/MAG, WIG, E-Hand) and steel construction standards and guidelines Ideally, you will bring first experience in the leadership and development of teams in a producing environment with Analytical and structured working method paired with a hand-on mentality Very good knowledge of German and English as well as experience with ERP systems (ideally SAP)
