The risks of the overall bank always look at: you actively participate in the quantification of the different types of risk and get to know their relationships. Here you work on current projects, methodological questions and the development of assessment and risk models. The 18-month trainee program specifically focuses on your previous experiences and wishes and prepares you as a potential provider:in your challenging work after the trainee program. The content will be tailor-made for you in close coordination with a manager from the department. You get a structured incorporation, regular feedback and space to try out new things. So you can discover where your strengths lie - and bring them into the team.

In Mittendrin, instead of just doing this - from the first day on, you as a full-fledged team member take on the successive, well-accompanied responsibility for selected issues in credit and market price risk controlling and overriding risk management as well as monitoring new regulatory requirements. Recognize and evaluate risks - together with the department you monitor the respective risk types and contribute to making informed decisions. In addition to the quantitative model validation, you also attach importance to adequate management reporting of the various types of risk. The exchange with others is important to you. You actively contribute to a comprehensive knowledge transfer at LBBW. We also count on your active cooperation and support in cross-departmental projects. In addition to operations in the trading units and in the treasury, further tasks and interfaces with risk management are possible parts of your training.

You have completed a university degree (Bachelor/Master/Promotion) of (economic) mathematics, (economic) informatics, physics or economics with a quantitative focus or are close to it. In the selection process you convince with a successfully completed cognitive performance test.

You have already come into contact with the risk management or risk controlling in the financial industry via internships or work-studierende activities.

In our international environment, you are convinced by your linguistic and communicative skills and can communicate at least to C1 levels in both German and English.

You bring high IT affinity and interest in learning programming languages. Your distinct analytical and conceptual ability as well as high problem-solving competence are yours.

In everyday work, you will be happy to find innovative solutions together in the team and bring an affinity to new developments (e.g. AI or regulatory changes).
