As part of the Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH project purchasing team, you will help shape the success of all ZEISS business units, act across locations and are involved in the implementation of optimization projects.

Your job You are the first contact person* in purchasing for associated development and optimization projects up to the start of the series

Planning and implementation of purchasing projects, including coordination with internal interfaces

Implementation of enquiries and self-responsible determination of the commercial enquiry parameters (e.g. target prices; lot sizes) and derivation of possible value creation structures (internal and external enquiries on low and high-cost production)

Control and tracking of enquiries (active follow-up to internal and external suppliers) and creation of bids incl. Risk assessment

Own-sponsored technical and commercial optimization with deviation of predetermined targets in coordination with the interface areas

Implementation of the predefined material group strategy in close cooperation with specialist purchasing

In developing and implementing standardized and efficient processes, key figures and IT tools for supply chain management

A successfully completed economic, scientific or engineering degree programme

Multiannual professional experience in the supply chain management environment

Strong technical competence and strong negotiation skills

An independent way of working on systematic problem solving as well as experience in value analysis of cost structures

Knowledge and safe handling of IT structures, office applications and SAP MM, experiences with JAGGAER are desirable

English knowledge in word and writing and occasional international readiness
