With Mercedes-Benz AG and Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest and most successful suppliers of premium cars and transporters. Our Market Intelligence & Geoeconomics department is the competence center for global economic developments and automotive sales markets of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The team prepares business and automotive market analyses and forecasts as part of regular reports. These analyses and forecasts are closely involved in the company's planning processes. In addition, we perform an early warning function to detect the changes in the market environment relevant to Mercedes-Benz and to derive recommendations for action for top management. These challenges come to you: Observation, assessment and forecast of economic developments in the relevant markets for cars and transporters for the Mercedes-Benz Group

Compilation of regular reports on the economic situation and the development of the global automotive markets

Group-wide provision of economic information and market reports

Implementation of market forecasts, including using economic forecasting methods

Creating economic lectures in all Mercedes-Benz Group business areas and for top management

Processing diverse ad-hoc requests regarding macroeconomic issues and automotive market developments

Updating and maintaining the cloud-based data infrastructure for automotive market forecasts

updating, use and independent development of dashboards for data visualization and internal communication of analysis results

The activity can begin from May 2026.

Course in Economics, Economics, Data Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

Good knowledge of relevant programming languages for the development of forecasting models (preferably R, Python)

Ideally experience in data visualization and development of dashboards (e.g. Power BI)

Knowledge of statistical and economic applications and forecasting methods desirable

Commitment, team capacity, analytical thinking and strategic and careful working

Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share. Additional information: The exact start time is determined jointly within the framework of the setting process. The duration of the internship is desirable 5-6 months.
