IT Specialist - Linux / Network / Server Management (m/f/d)

You take care of and continuously develop the IT infrastructure at our location in Aachen. Ensure the availability, performance and reliability of our systems You plan, install and manage the lifecycle of server and network hardware. In addition, you manage and optimise our Linux-based systems, especially Debian and Proxmox, at infrastructure level You enter and develop our storage landscape, including technologies such as Ceph, ZFS, btrfs, ext4 and Samba. In addition, you will ensure a stable and secure operation of our network environment in the LAN and WAN areas Analyze and eliminate disruptions in the IT infrastructure, especially in the areas of network, hardware and basic services. You work closely with the IT department and ensure careful documentation of systems and processes

You have a completed vocational training, e.g. as a specialist informant:in, a study in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification – alternatively you convince as a cross-release:in with relevant practical experience You bring well-founded experience in the operation and administration of virtualization solutions (ideally Proxmox), have very good knowledge in the field of network technology (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalling and VPN) and have already gained practical experience with various routing protocols, especially OSPF You are familiar with Linux systems (preferably Debian), storage technologies and RAID concepts. In addition, you have already worked with server and network hardware as well as data center infrastructure You work independently, structured and responsible and are a:e real:r team player:in good communication skills You feel comfortable in an international environment: you have both very good German and good English skills and do not hesitate to apply them
