The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) is looking for a:n Head of Department (m/w/d) Technical Infrastructure at the next time. Reference number: 2025-0131 The DKFZ, headquartered in Heidelberg, is Germany's largest biomedical research institution. With around 3,500 employees:inside and around 130,000 m2 area, the DKFZ operates state-of-the-art laboratory facilities with numerous special applications. The responsibility for the buildings in terms of operation and conversion lies with the technical infrastructure department, which is directly assigned to the commercial board.

The task covers the entire range of operational and strategic management tasks of the technical infrastructure with around 100 employees and ensuring the entire operation of the buildings, including the laboratory facilities. The department is divided into the working groups of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, TGA projects, internal construction measures, disposal, controlling, precision mechanics and facility management.
