Number: MER00043DS From 01.08.2026 we are looking for an intern*in for the pre- and series development of air conditioning technology, which supports us in the analysis and optimization of the self-diagnosis capability and serviceability of air conditioning systems. The internship is desirable for 6 months at 35 hours per week. As part of the Mercedes-Benz Cars development, we work on the further development of diagnostic content and the necessary documentation. A special focus is on better understanding fault images in the field, documenting them transparently and efficiently transferring the measures derived therefrom into processes. In order to support diagnostic and interface work, we are looking for a dedicated personality who is looking forward to exciting and challenging tasks and who brings himself to the team with motivation and solution-oriented action. We expect a high willingness to work independently in technical contexts and to prepare results in a structured manner, with the aim of achieving significant improvements in documentation and processes. These challenges include: Analysis of the origin of error codes in air conditioning (How/why are codes created? What boundary conditions?) Documentation and Priority of Error Codes incl. deriving reasonable priorities/handling needs Identification and closing of documentation gaps (estimate actual status, work out gaps, add content) Optimization of relevant processes around diagnostic / error code handling (e.g. handovers, storage structures, clarity of content) Development of workshop instructions on error codes in cooperation with aftersales and quality Creating clear instructions that illustrate intelligible: which error code has the cause which steps are required for repair

The activity can begin from August.

You study in the field of business informatics, business engineer*in, technology management or a comparable degree course and are immatriculated

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

You already have first contact points in programming languages like Python/C/C++ or the like.

You are interested in learning new technologies and working on new topics

Analytical thinking and strategic working

driving licence class B necessary
