You think Data Engineering is holistic – from infrastructure to pipelines to platform architecture? You want to not only operate existing systems, but actively build a modern data platform? Then you're right with us. As a senior data engineer, you play a central role in building and operating our data platform on AWS and work closely with Data Analysts, Engineers and Product Teams. Your tasks: Cloud & Infrastructure: You build our AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and continuously develop it. Databricks & Spark: You are responsible for our Databricks environment and optimierst Spark pipelines and workflows. Data Platform Design: You are developing our Data Platform – from architecture to data modeling to best practices. Pipelines & Transformation: You develop and operate scalable ELT/ETL pipelines with Airbyte and dbt. Collaboration: You work closely with senior data analysts (common stack, separate workstreams) as well as with engineering, product and compliance.

Data Engineering Expertise: You bring 5+ years of experience as a data engineer and have already worked with modern cloud data stacks. Cloud & IaC: Very good knowledge of AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EC2, EKS/ECS) and compelling experience with Terraform. Data Processing: Found experience with Databricks and Apache Spark. Data Stack: Secure handling of dbt and airbyte. Programming: Very good knowledge of Python and/or SQL. Working: You work structured, independent and with strong engineering focus. Languages: You speak German and English fluently. Nice-to-Have: Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools Knowledge of Data Vault or Medallion Architecture Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g. Redshift) Experience with financial data (e.g. broker or customer data)
