Specialist IT Security Operations, part-time 50% (m/f/d)

Are you excited about IT security and want to actively help protect our modern IT landscape from cyber threats? You also keep an overview in critical situations, analyze security incidents structured and implement effective measures consistently? Then you will become part of our IT team and actively contribute to the further development of our information security.

In this responsible position, you will be responsible for:

You monitor the current threat situation, evaluate security-relevant information (BSI, DFN, cyber security agency BW etc.), analyze the afflictness of our IT environment and derive necessary measures

You analyze and prioritize security events from our monitoring and security systems, coordinate technical emergency measures and take over documentation and reprocessing

You continuously manage and optimize our endpoint and Microsoft-365 security solutions and align protection measures closely with IT operation and client management

You establish and operate a structured vulnerability management, prioritize risks and implement technical curing measures within the Windows server, client and M365 environments

You plan and implement new security solutions as well as safety-related operating processes, coordinate security-critical software distributions and create technical documentation as well as reporting

You work closely with the Information Security Officer (ISB) and the Data Protection Officer (DSB) and act as a central interface to the field of research data security

Successfully completed university studies (Bachelor/FH diploma) with a focus on computer science, IT security or a comparable qualification or a completed IT vocational training with relevant professional experience

Multiannual professional experience in IT security

Knowledge of Security Operations, Incident Response, Endpoint Security and Vulnerability and Risk Assessment

Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server and Client operating systems, GPOs and Windows AD Account Management (Active Directory & Azure AD / Entra ID)

Good knowledge of hybrid IT infrastructures and network technologies (in particular DHCP/DNS); Experience with Sophos Central is desirable

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working methods as well as pronounced self-initiative and sense of responsibility

High communication and team skills as well as safe occurrence in exchange with internal disciplines
