A day in the life You work in different layers at one of our operating locations. You focus primarily on maintaining security standards by your team and your entire location. You also monitor process efficiency. Priorities in your working day include routine team management and daily operations. In addition to other tasks such as escalations in individual cases, process improvements as well as cross-company emergency planning. As an important member of the operating team, you work with colleagues from other teams as well as external partners to ensure that we meet the requirements of our customers at any time as well as our own requirements. This includes the analysis of data and performance indicators together with managers in your business area as well as the discussion of the operational advantages and disadvantages of technical improvements with the technical team.

QUALIFICATIONS Successful university studies (Bachelor or Master) before start of work Advanced English and German knowledge in Word and Writing Relevant experience in carrying out data analyses PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Interest to take over leadership and a team of employees from all over the world Experience in communication with different stakeholders, including colleagues Experience in a logistics environment Experience in working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

About the team The logistics department at Amazon (AMZL) is responsible for the “Last-Mile logistics” – i.e. the delivery of our packages in partnership with third parties. We think creatively and implement initiatives for continuous improvement to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and to introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offers, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon restaurants. These activities are carried out by two groups of employees. Our “internal” employees prepare millions of products for shipping to our delivery teams. Our team is human-oriented and helpful. This is particularly important because many of our employees work in night shifts. Our focus is mainly on operating. Most of our locations work around the clock. During the course, our “outside service” employees work with Amazon Flex – a contractor network for delivery. Every year we set new standards in terms of customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We are looking for new ways to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges, as well as new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint.
