PROFESSUR (W2) Security Analytics and Incident Response Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology

We are looking for a dedicated personality for the Department of Security Analytics and Incident Response in the context of IT security. Your duties include teaching and research, and the support of young scientists and young scientists. You provide, for example, how security incidents are detected, analyzed and processed, such as security analytics, Threat Hunting and log and traffic analyses are used and how suitable reaction measures can be implemented. Lectures from neighbouring areas such as IT security, cloud security or secure system architecture are also part of the field of activity. It is also possible to inspire students for current IT security challenges within the framework of study projects, graduates and research activities.

Knowledge in Security Monitoring, Incident Response, Attack Detection, Threat Hunting and Log and Traffic Analysis Ideally experience in security management, cloud technology, data analytics or cloud security Completed university studies in computer science, pedagogical suitability, skills for scientific work (usually proven by a doctorate) and 5 years of professional experience, of which 3 years outside the university sector (§ 47 Landeshochschulgesetz BW) The ability to hold courses in German and English Willingness to take over (basic) lectures in professionally adjacent or general areas of computer science Willingness to contribute to the academic self-government and further development of the Faculty and High School
