Our site in Buchholz Westerwald (near Bonn) was founded in 1904. Since then we recycle car batteries with the aim of recovering lead to the production of new batteries. In order to strengthen our team with about 130 employees, we are looking for you at the earliest possible date in the function as a manager of occupational safety and health / specialist for occupational safety (m/w/d)

Promote proactive safety culture by ensuring compliance with statutory requirements in the field of occupational safety and health protection Analysis of accidents, near misses and health hazards, compilation of associated reports and reports, as well as drafting proposals and monitoring the implementation of corrective measures acceptance and approval of working areas, machinery, activities and hazardous substances Influence on superiors and employees for the proper implementation of the blood bleach program, participation in its constant updating on industrial standards and best practices Safety Walks, Safety Dialogues, STOP Observations and Near-Miss Management Own-responsible creation, maintenance and further development of risk assessments, PHILs/FMEAs as well as safety assessments of plants and processes. Implementation of occupational safety-related risk assessments as well as audits with employees, workplaces and technical equipment Coordination and cooperation with service providers regarding the provision and cleaning of workwear and personal protective equipment for all employees Cooperation with the working physician and the trade union including Organisation of medical examinations required for the employees in the plant Applying, maintaining and expanding the company-wide reporting system Continuous improvement of the occupational safety management system; Preparing and performing audits according to DIN ISO 45001 Implementation of HS-related training and instruction

Qualification for occupational safety completed technical studies or comparable technical training relevant professional experience in the field of occupational safety and health in the industrial environment, ideally the chemical, metal or recycling industry well-founded knowledge of the relevant legal regulations Ability to sensitize and inspire employees and executives for occupational safety issues Experience in dealing with authorities desirable Experience in energy efficiency and environmental projects desirable Interdisciplinary close cooperation with production, maintenance, laboratory and environmental/energy (ISO 9001,14001 and 50001) good English knowledge required Personal Impressive capacity combined with value-assurance communication capability Structured and at the same time pragmatic mode of operation with high reaction orientation
