The German Centre for Disabled Reading (read dzb) provides suitable offers for educational, information and entertainment literature for all those people who are traditionally not able to read or handle printed persons. It offers a wide range of literature for borrowing and buying to blind, visually impaired and read impaired people. The dzb reading is not only a special library, but also a production centre for braille books, audio books, magazines, reliefs, notes as well as for large prints and in future also for barrier-free e-books. To make these media accessible, the dzb read printed publications prepares specially for: Texts are transmitted in Braille font and large font as well as notes in Braillenotenschrift, images are displayed as tactile images and audiobooks are spoken. Under our roof there is a sound studio, a printing house, a bookbinding and magazine space for the library. We do not have a reading room, we send our media to Germany and worldwide. As state business of the Free State of Saxony, we belong to the Saxon Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK). Reading dzb is looking for a department management (m/w/d) at the next time. The body shall be filled in full-time or part-time with at least 35 hours/week.

strategic and operational control of the production department with the divisions Tonstudio, Verlag, Druckerei/Buchbinderei and Braille-Großdruck-E-Book Management of departmental and overarching projects Management responsibility (organised and professional) for four specialist group managers and for two project managers continuous analysis and improvement of processes and ensuring documentation, both in the field of digital and printed products Testing and integration of technological innovations Participation in production management Reading the presentation of dzb and working in national and international bodies and working groups
