Press wholesale trade is mostly unknown to many people. 4PRESS ensures that newspapers, magazines and other printed products are available on time and reliably with over 18,000 press-leading retailers. Our retailers are located in Berlin, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Brandenburg, Südhessen, Pfalz and the northern parts of Baden-Württemberg. 4PRESS is the largest press wholesaler in Germany. In order to strengthen our technology team, we are looking for a dedicated line technology (m/w/d) for controlling our processes in technology at the next possible time for our Hamburg location. (unlimited in full time 40 hours per week)

Total responsibility for the technical operation at the Hamburg site (plant, building and operational capacity) Ensuring smooth operation along the value chain (including acceptance of goods, commissioning, remission processing, packaging, night shipment/disposition to delivery) from a technical point of view Planning, control and control of maintenance (preventive/reactive) incl. Maintenance and verification plans, time monitoring, documentation and follow-up of measures Leadership and further development of the industrial technology team: personnel deployment/shift planning, instruction, qualification, construction of a safety and quality culture Control and control of external service providers (performance monitoring, acceptance, compliance with SLAs and quality standards) Continuous optimization of processes, plant parameters and interfaces – with regard to availability, throughput, quality and costs Safety & Compliance: Ensuring consistent compliance with legal regulations and internal standards (e.g. instruction, risk assessments, test intervals, documentation obligations) Reporting relevant key figures

Complete technical training, further training to master/technician or a technical study of advantage Multiannual professional experience in a comparable function Funded understanding of technical systems and processes (e.g. conveyor/sortier technology, packaging and peripheral systems, domestic engineering) and safe troubleshooting Detectional leadership experience and competence in the management of foreign companies/service providers (clear, binding, solution-oriented) Structured, analytical and high-reaction working methods (hands-on) with high results and service orientation Enforceability, decision-making and stress resistance, coupled with high communication and team capability Very good knowledge of German in word and writing Secure handling of IT tools (MS Office, especially Excel) High readiness and flexibility driving licence class B Remarkable: knowledge of relevant occupational safety/test regulations, training as safety officer/brand protection officer Readiness to travel to other locations
