System Engineer Private Cloud | HCPHCS (m/f/d)

Tasks with perspectives You will ensure the integration of our private cloud platform services with a focus on Red Hat OpenShift through the development and operation of automation solutions. You are responsible for the stable, secure and highly available operation of automation modules, including OpenShift clusters, in interaction with the underlying private cloud infrastructure. You plan, implement and accompany releases, upgrades and extensions of private cloud platform services. You analyze disturbances, performance and capacity issues in complex container and platform environments and guide sustainable technical improvements. You automate commissioning, deployment and operating processes (e.g. with terraform, ansible, helmet, GitOps approaches) and actively contribute to the standardization of our platform services. You support internal product and development teams when using the platform and advise on technical issues relating to containers, deployments and operating models. You bring your practical operating experience into the further development of our private and hybrid cloud architecture.

Personality with profile You have a completed study of (economic) informatics or a comparable qualification as well as many years of relevant professional experience in the operation of modern platform and infrastructure solutions as well as experience in the management of cross-disciplinary (partial) projects. You have well-founded experience in the productive operation of Red Hat OpenShift (On-Premises or Private Cloud) and know the typical operational, update and integration requirements from practice. You have very good knowledge of container-based architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helmet) and a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure (Compute, Network, Storage, Linux). You bring experience with automation and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) as well as CI/CD and GitOps concepts. You know common monitoring, logging and observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK) and use them safely in operation. You have knowledge of German (at least C1 level) and good English (B2 level). You work independently, structured and responsibly and keep an overview even in complex operating and fault situations. You communicate clearly, work with the team and actively engage in technical coordination and cross-departmental projects.

salary frame and career level The annual salary for this position is between €79,000 and € 113,000 for a 38-hour week, depending on the corresponding experience and qualification, and pays on our career model as follows:
