Number: MER0003VRX Are you interested in media and want to learn how real press work works? You find cars and international politics exciting? We're all under one roof! Become part of our team and from March 2026 you can look behind the scenes of the corporate communication of an international automotive company. You learn firsthand how external communication works at the highest level in a dynamic, political environment. In this internship, you will get to know the positioning of Mercedes-Benz in the media and on social media on topics of global economy and politics. Support our team with journalistic inquiries, interview preparations and analysis of political issues. Our mission is to build the most desirable cars in the world, and we want to carry this message together with you to the outside. No day is like the other, and that's exactly what makes this intern so exciting. These challenges include: Cooperation in the preparation of presentations, briefings and language regulations in close cooperation with the responsible persons from the departments

Support in researching and writing press texts and answering press requests on corporate and external affairs

Write and edit texts for Social Media Posts and the Intranet on Corporate and External Affairs

Support in the positioning of executives and executives at Corporate and External Affairs

Participation in the strategic development and internationalisation of the corporate and external affairs communication of Mercedes-Benz

Takeover of overarching corporate communications projects at Mercedes-Benz

Support of the team in all tasks of the daily business

The activity can begin from March 2026.

Course in Media Management, Communications, Humanities or Economics Studies, Journalism or a comparable course of studies

General interest in a wide range of topics, in particular on (economic) policy issues

First PR experiences are advantageous

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

High linguistic competence and the ability to bring complex facts to the point and to formulate them in simple language

Safe handling of MS Office, especially very good and visually pronounced PowerPoint skills

The quantity sense, willingness to perform, strategic and connected thinking, safe and friendly appearance, structured working, curiosity, sense of responsibility and high self-initiative

Ideally, first practical experience in journalism or in press work, basic understanding of political issues is an absolute prerequisite
