Specialist in Transfusion Medicine / Internal Medicine as Medical Director Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg (m/f/d)

In your function as a Medical Regional Management, you are responsible for the medical and organizational management of the Regional Institute Lütjensee and for the overall medical responsibility of the offices of Schleswig and Hamburg. This involves the management of the employees assigned to you and the responsibility for the respective tasks, the budget and the economic development of the blood donation service. As a Medical Regional Management, you control and responsible for the medical execution of mobile and stationary blood donations in the Schleswig-Holstein region and ensure that the care of the clinics and practices is carried out according to your needs. You shall ensure compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as the applicable hemotherapy policies and ensure proper communication with the competent authorities and the medical management of the DRK blood donation service Nord-Ost. You optimise the cross-site processes of the regional institute and its offices and coordinate the cooperation of the departments to ensure efficient, quality-secured care. You organise and implement internal training measures for the staff of the institute and external training for the clinics provided by the institutes. You ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements with the competent medical authority. You are responsible for the optimization and further development of processes, methods and products, initiate and accompany application-oriented research projects and represent the results in the form of scientific publications. The activity is linked to regular service trips between the associated locations of the region and to external specialist appointments.

Ideally, you have a specialist medical certificate for transfusion medicine. Specialists of related disciplines, in particular for internal medicine with a focus on haematology, anaesthesiology or laboratory medicine with transfusion medical experience, are also very welcome. In the case of appropriate suitability, there is the possibility to further develop transfusion medical qualifications within the scope of activity. You have a multiannual experience in a medical leadership function as well as strong management and organisational and budget competence. You ideally have experience in managing multi-professional teams and in interdisciplinary cooperation with clinic partners and laboratory areas. You have a strong understanding of efficient, quality-secured and cross-site processes as well as the implementation of legal and regulatory medical and transfusion-relevant requirements. An interest in scientific work and willingness to participate in studies, publications and application-related research projects is desirable, as well as experience in lecture activities, further education and training as well as in the design of structured courses for medical and non-medical employees.
