You are researching current developments on renewable energies, energy policy frameworks and other input variables for our energy system model. In this way you support us in creating scenarios for the future development of German and European energy markets. You can also carry out analyses with the energy system model on your own. You develop internal data processing tools and apply them. Last but not least, you will help shape our internal documentation and knowledge base around the energy system modeling.
You are studying economic engineering, renewable energies, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar discipline. First experience in the field of scenario data/energy system modeling (in particular PyPSA) you already bring. You have knowledge in programming languages for data analysis, such as Python, MATLAB, VBA, etc. and work safely with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). You have an independent and targeted way of working. You can master German and English.
