Network Manager (m/w/d) We are looking for you for the School Administration Office of the Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart. The place shall be occupied without delay. With more than 1,000 employees, the school administration office fulfills all the school support tasks for the approximately 150 urban schools of all kinds. Our field of IT and media infrastructure is responsible for the intranet Stuttgart (SWIS) for 73.957 students and about 7,500 teachers at the schools in Stuttgart. With 1.794 network switches and 5.594 WLAN access points, we provide a high-quality and high-performance infrastructure. Our current expansion to 10/100 Gbit/s creates the framework conditions for a future-oriented digital Stuttgart school landscape.

Thanks to you, further expansion and optimization of the network infrastructure is ensured, as you take care of the concerns and requirements of the school community You ensure the design and planning of passive and active IT, media and telecommunications networks in schools Your tasks include the development, design and definition of standards for IT, media and telecommunications networks in schools (planning guidelines) Through intensive monitoring of market trends and developments, you are immersed in the continuous development and adaptation of concepts, taking into account changing urban, technical and legal frameworks You actively contribute to the successful implementation of projects with our partners in the School Administration Office, the Building Office and the Office for Digitization of the City of Stuttgart You commission, coordinate and work closely with our external service providers

A successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science/network technology or a comparable degree programme Persons with completed IT training and multi-year, relevant professional experience can also apply in the designated area of responsibility Knowledge of current technologies in the field of passive and active network components, network infrastructures (LAN, WLAN, MAN), media and telecommunications systems as well as network management systems Experience in the planning of passive and active networks and the control and coordination of implementation with internal and external partners within the framework of projects Knowledge of processes and procedures in construction projects according to HOAI in the context of public administration
