Design and create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for optical and precision mechanical components following company and industry norms Design, simulate and optimize tool for injection molding Design jigs and fixtures for assembly, alignment, testing, measuring and calibration of optical and mechatronic systems Collaborate with optical designers on tolerance mounting concepts and impact of mechanical design on optical performance Collaborate with suppliers and internal manufacturing to ensure success, correct material selection and appropriate production processes Evaluate design variants and propose optimizations for performance, cost and manufacturability Support DFM / DFA reviews and implementation Feedback from production and quality Continuously improve design guidelines, tool concepts and simulation workflows

Excellent university degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, optical engineering, mechatronics or related field. Several years of experience in the development of optomechanical systems Strong track record in design methods and simulation software for molding tool design and their integration into robust development workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with high attention to details and a structured, documentation-oriented working style
