In your role, you guide and optimise all Aareal Bank Group's IT revision activities and develop forward-looking topics within the 3rd Line that ensure the protection and further development of our bank. This leadership allows you to contribute to the auditing strategy, to lead a talented team and to promote compliance with regulatory requirements. What you bring: enthusiasm for IT & information security, very good understanding of legal requirements, desire for change and the view for the whole. You work independently, think ahead and stay “one step ahead”. Certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP are ideal – or you can obtain them with our support.

Responsible management and continuous development of the IT revision and the team Creating and updating the risk- and process-oriented IT audit plan that is adapted to the bank and regulatory priorities Ensuring high-quality tests including Project management and special audits Control of all IT revision activities incl. Coordination of the audit of external service providers taking into account regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA, EBA Guidelines) Preparation of concise test reports and communication of results Close cooperation with business revision in the sense of a holistic approach Further development of testing methods, including in the field of AI Advising our departments, national and international industries and subsidiaries on regulatory issues relating to IT, information security, outsourcing, AI and cloud

Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, (economic) engineering or comparable degree programs and sound academic knowledge for complex examination tasks At least 8–10 years of professional experience, of which 2 years of leadership experience in the IT audit (economic audit and/or internal audit of ECB supervised banks) and thus the necessary expertise to successfully act in the dynamic and highly regulated banking environment Expertise in ICT Risk Management, Cyber Security, ITIL Processes, SAP, IAM, Outsourcing, Cloud, AI as well as Experiences with AI Trusted with regulatory requirements (DORA, EBA/GL, EU-AI-Act, MaRisk) Embossed communication and leadership skills, high integrity and analytical strength as well as reliable knowledge of German and English Certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP are a plus Sounds exciting?
