Pedagogical specialist for our youth centre (m/f/d)

The municipality of Ostseebad Laboe is located at the very top of the Kieler Förde Ostager and forms the western entrance gate to the scenic probstei. With its distinctively characteristic skyline, Laboe welcomes and releases numerous Baltic cruisers, merchant and naval ships every day, as well as countless sailboats that come from the Kiel harbour or the North-East Canal. The Baltic Sea Bath counts about 5,100 inhabitants. The unique location at the exit of the Kiel bay, the beautiful sandy beach, a varied hinterland, the proximity to the Nord-Ostsee Canal as well as one of the most beautiful ports on the Kieler Förde make it a popular and demanded residential and holiday resort at the same time. The youth centre “Jugi” Laboe is a leisure centre of the municipality of Ostseebad Laboe. The house is located in the centre of the town, directly on the school grounds and invites all children and young people between 8 and 25 years to spend their free time there. We are looking for the next time Senior Consultant (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) in full time for our youth centre.

Accompanying and supporting the open meeting point for children, young people and young adults Conception and implementation of leisure and creative activities, oriented towards the interests of visitors Planning and implementation of events and participation in the public summer programme Individual support, advice and support for young people in different situations Cooperation and networking with youth-relevant institutions and cooperation partners Professional support and support of the Youth Advisory Council of Laboe municipality If necessary, conduct courses and support at the Open Full Day School

Complete training for educators or studies in the field of social education, social work, education or a comparable qualification Experience in open child and youth work as well as working with groups Creativity and joy in the development and implementation of leisure and education Empathy, communication strength and an appreciation of young people Ability to independently plan and organize projects and events Team skills and willingness to cooperate with schools, institutions and network partners Flexibility with regard to working hours (also in afternoon and evening hours) Commitment, sense of responsibility and a structured way of working Class B driving licence craftsmanship is desirable, but no requirement
