Operations Manager (m/f/d)

As Operations Manager, you are the operational backbone of a Montamo location. You are: the mirror of the location to the Berlin HQ, the process engine on site, the right hand of the operator, and the extended arm of the COO. You make sure that processes are understood, lived and consistently implemented - by all employees, regardless of language or cultural background. You are the one who brings new processes to the sites, explains, maintains and operationalizes. You don't have any disciplinary leadership responsibility, but you're in a kind of double-head with the company managers and make sure the location runs clean every day.

1. Process implementation & location control You bring all new processes and SOPs from the headquarters to the location. You explain these processes in a comprehensible and convincing way – for all employees, no matter what background. You make sure that every employee understands the processes, recognizes the added value and maintains it. You control the process quality every day and interact with deviations.
2. Operational location organization Ensure that people are in the right place at the right time. Management & documentation of medical reports. Vehicle coordination incl. cleanliness, assignment, tracking, appointments. Control of tool and material processes. Close cooperation with the storage person — quality and process assurance.
3. KPI tracking & reporting Maintenance of all day, week and month KPIs of the site. Detection of deviations and bottlenecks, early escalation. Participation in daily Dailies with the COO (short, clear, data-based). Create small reports on location performance.
4. Link between location and HQ You are the permanent information channel between location and Berlin headquarters. You keep the HQ up to date on all developments, risks, problems and opportunities. You will explain the requirements of the headquarters to the manager & teams. You can return feedback from the location to the headquarters, clearly structured and fact-based.
5. Preparation & Support of Meetings Support of operational managers in meeting preparation (data, agenda, follow-ups). Supporting the COO for site reviews, KPI check-ins, tool implementations. Ensure meetings are well prepared and documented.
6. Customer Communication & Customer Success You are a contact person for the customer-success team's location-related queries. You always keep this team up to date about operational features, delays or risks. You can use direct customer communication (e.g. for appointments).
7. Location Culture & Organization Organization of location events (summer festival, Christmas celebration). Ensure that order, cleanliness and structure prevail in the site. Support of the managers in all administrative matters.

Must-Haves German at native language level (min. C2) – this is a prerequisite. Experience in a highly process-driven environment, such as Gorillas, Flink, Amazon Logistics, Deliveryando, Bolt, Picnic etc. Very good knowledge in Excel or Google Sheets – you work safely with formulas, filters and evaluations. Detectable experience in explaining, rolling out and maintaining processes – ideally in teams with cultural and linguistically mixed backgrounds. Embossed sense of order, structure and discipline. High detailed orientation and joy in meticulous, daily process management. Hands-on-Mentality: You're working with and don't feel too bad for practical tasks. Nice-to-have Experience in working with notion or comparable knowledge management tools. Technical understanding of vehicles, tools or material logistics. Experience in craftsmanship or in cooperation with craft teams (no need, but a plus).
