Depending on the requirements, a plurality of different tools with different sizes, shapes and properties are used for polishing optics for semiconductor lithography. The conversion and calibration after a tool change are associated with a reduction in productivity. As part of this final work, you develop detailed technical concepts for a polishing tool based on the preparatory work of ZEISS. Various technical advantages and disadvantages are to be identified and evaluated and a design is selected as a target concept. Specifically, thesis includes: technical conception of the entire tool including periphery and a mounting concept for the conversion of existing production plants

Selection and evaluation of individual components

Identification and estimation of critical parameters

Concept for a digital data interface for controlling and storing the tool data for the processing process

Cooperation with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions

Documentation and presentation of your results

Studies Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or Similar Directions

Experiences in CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
