You are responsible for the technical management of the coordination unit for radiological wastewater, ventilation and environmental monitoring at the KIT Campus Nord and are responsible for the planning, control and documentation of all processes relevant to radiation protection. In doing so, you define the requirements for radiological monitoring in new equipment, maintenance, maintenance and restoration of technical equipment, as well as sampling and analysis and ensure compliance with quality assurance measures.

You coordinate cross-group workflows, report overcrowds of admissible derivatives in accordance with reporting regulations and create weekly, quarterly and annual reports for KIT and for external authorities. The close exchange with the operators of emission-relevant facilities, the central radiation protection and the relevant nuclear-law supervisory authority is part of your responsibility as well as the negotiation and maintenance of the exhaust air plan for the Campus Nord.

Furthermore, you request changes in the regulatory environment monitoring program, implement the requirements for the ground excavation and develop the fault measurement program including training of the personnel provided for this purpose.

a completed natural or engineering degree (Diplom (Uni) / Master) many years of experience in radiation and environmental protection well-founded knowledge of the nuclear regulation and related technical rules on: emission monitoring Water protection Radioecology Dose calculation for discharges via air and water path Analysis Sample collection Radiation protection measurement technology
